Hi, I’m Morgan Siler-Cecil.
Bluegrass Romance is a project to challenge myself as a mother, as a wife, and as a depression-prone woman, to live life with more adventure and romance. Every week I pull a new mini-mission out of a hat and vow to complete it before the week’s end.
This blog is about the experience of attempting and completing (god-willing) 52 mini-mission aimed at getting me and/or my family out doing new things in and around the bluegrass. It is a year long project beginning January 2010.
The project as a whole is an attempt to redefine adventure, romance and how to remain fully alive even when life attempts to steer you into deep ruts. Here is why I am doing it:
On a personal note:
I used to think my fairytale would take me to Italy to live forever–where I still believe wellsprings of romance and adventure are pumped straight into the water. As life would have it, I fell in love with a man who chose the charm of Kentucky instead. Here in the bluegrass is where we are starting a family, and here is where I must create a new vision of adventure and romance. Besides, Italian men may be sexy and mysterious, but none of them are as awesome and perfect for me as this guy. (Note: He is also sexy and mysterious. See proof here).

Bio
Morgan Day Siler-Cecil is a photographer in Lexington, KY. She is also the co-creator of iHeartSingleParents.com, and the former editor of Single Parent Magazine. She is one of the contributors at Looking Glass Lane and enjoys taking part in social media shenanigans. Prior to her June 2009 Al’s Bar wedding to the love of her life, she blogged as ModernSingleMomma. Morgan moved from Portland, OR to Lexington, KY with her son and now husband in February of 2009.
