No.6: Indulge your sweet tooth

What better way to follow up a week of sweat than with a week of sweet?
(Bouncing from extremes keeps you nimble, ey?)
This mini-mission was fun for the whole family. We dedicated an entire week to enjoying the delicious cupcake treats of Babycakes. As a philosophy major in college I am familiar with Aristotle’s ethical doctrine to seek moderation in all things, but ancient Greece didn’t have Babycakes…and Babycakes cupcakes are a worthy indulgence. Besides, I’ve always liked theĀ ”Even Moderation in Moderation” philosophy better.
Here are some of the photos from Mini-Mission No. 6: Indulge your sweet tooth. See more on Flickr.
Chocolate Cupcake: This was Lucca’s favorite photoshoot by far (and this kid has had a lot of photoshoots). I let him have the whole chocolate cupcake to himself and he was happy to oblige for a few photos.
Chai Tea Cupcak: I love window light and time just to journal and eat something sweet while sipping on something warm. This was the most relaxing photoshoot. Perfect for the Chai Tea.

Butterscotch Cupcake: I think Mr.Cecil liked this photoshoot more than I did. It’s hard to control the camera in stiletto heels and wearing nothing but an pin-up apron. Plus, I had major sticky fingers from the frosting. (The cute apron, by the way, is by the hip-home seamstress, Megan Smith).

Vanilla + Red Velvet Cupcakes: We had fun setting up these photoshoots. Good husband-wife bonding. (My husband is pretty handsome! And I can always see better when I put my glasses on. Don’t know why I don’t do it more). I loved the juxtaposition of the two “characters,” so I decided to make Babycakes a fun postcard on the theme of good girl vs. bad girl. What cupcake are you?
If you have never met Lexington’s finest cupcake creator, Tricia Clemons or tasted her delectable treats, you have a chance this Sunday-Valentine’s Day- at the Love in Lex Event. I hope to see you there and would love to take your picture. (Read more about Love in Lex’s portrait of love here). Don’t forget to RSVP so Tricia knows how many cupcakes to bake!

That was fantastic! Love babycakes!!! The post card is awesome!!! Great job!
Priscilla-
Thank you! Yes, isn’t Babycakes fantastic? You don’t think the post card is too scandalous do you?;)
Babycakes is my FAVORITE place in Big Lex!
Love the whole concept Morgan. You are so smart and talented! I blogged a bit about you today…and by the way~ you totally rock the apron, girl
Dawn- I know! And don’t you think Tricia is fantastic?!
Megan- That is sweet. I’m still a little unsure of my pin-up worthiness in the apron, but it has helped with my motivation to cook! Pretty things in the kitchen are important
And YOU my friend are mighty smart and talented!
This is my kind of photoshoot! Love it. I love the element of fun you have with your whole family, Ms. Morgan… and I sooo want one of those cupcakes!
